• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

610 10000 mile report

Spice Weasel

Husqvarna
AA Class
I serviced my 2008 SM610 at 10000 miles today. So...
CCT still showing the same clicks since i got it, cam chain hasnt stretched at all, so not going to change that.
Valve clearances havent even moved since i last checked.
Rh oil screen clean and intact.
Lh oil screen had some debris in it but not much, found a piece of the OEM clutch spring seats in it.
Small amount of filings on the drain plug magnet, nothing to worry about.
The clutch spring seats i had made from tool steel look the same as when i put them in 5000 miles ago, clutch itself looks ok aswell
The only worn part i found is the brass clutch bushing.
The clutch basket wobbles like in the vids ive seen other members post.
Its less than half a mm wear from inside the bushing but causes a large amount of wobble on the basket.
I hope Husky Sport has one in stock, havent even got my lower rad shroud thats on back order after 5 months.
The oil ive been using is Motul semi synthetic.
The bottom line is.....WHAT A GREAT MOTOR.

Good news! Husqvarna allegedly has the bushing in stock, so i should have it soon, and the lower rad shroud is supposed to be arriving sometime the end of October

OK...so i got the new bushing and it didnt reduce the basket wobble that much.
So the original bushing musnt have been that worn out of spec, and the wobble that i thought was slightly worrying cant be far from spec.
So i just put it back together with the original bushing and will let it wear some more, and monitor it when servicing.
It didnt cost much for a piece of mind and i have the spare part ready to change when feel its necessary.
Thanks again to Husky Sport for top notch service :applause:
