  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi, is this a yamaha wr 450 front fender/mudguard?
The fender is a 2012 yzf front fender. You have to re drill the holes. I got the idea from other people on here doing the same thing. It matches the design of the back fender perfect.

Is there good Vee Rubber tires?
I used to be a Michelin s12 person that's all I would use but I am sold on these Vee Rubber 140 gncc Tacky's. They are a softer compound more like a trials compound with a mx tread but not a soft as a trials tire so they work good anywhere from sand to hard pack and in the rocks there rear trials with the 140 front is awesome. They are an awesome company and are concentrating on off-road tires.

thanks for the info. I was given one quite a while back. Was mad of black steel, was the hardest tire i ever mounted, worked horrible and i took it off two rides later. Glad to see they moved their game up. Thanks for the tip, might have to give one another try some day.

Yeah I think they changed the compounds of there tires about a 1 1/2 ago. I just started using them about 6 months ago. ECEA Enduro grand champ Jeff Melik uses the 140 tacky so I decided to give it a a try.

Pic didn't turn out to great. But got my first graphics kit ever installed on my 08 cr 125. Super happy with the outcome. Alan @ Ride Industries helped me out. Turns out his office is two blocks away from my house.

Waiting for my top end to burn out so I can go the 165 route.

Hi All,

Brand new here so thought I'd use my first post to get some pics up. This is my 2008 (though registered in 2009) WR250. It's has 19 hours from new! It's a bit of a time machine as the condition of it would suggest we are still in 2008. Haven't taken her off road yet but had a blast around the roads where I live (England - Near Winchester) and it's a whole lot different to my last bike, a Yamaha WR250f. Loves to lift the front with no provocation!. I race in the local enduro championship so it won't be long before it's not looking like this, hence keeping these photos from the forsale ad of the last owner.
