  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

reminds me of a seat cover i had on an old 90'ish RM? :p (i kid please dont kill me again giant joe!)

whats really cool is if i scoot back from my monitor a couple feet the word HUSQVARNA really pops, like one of them illusion pictures ya stare at til the dolphin sorta just appears all of a sudden. good job mister keep going.

cool idea, giantjoe! i always liked the large HUSA / BERG graphics and wondered if i could pull off the same with HUSQ / VARNA.

did you try a version with the letters red inside, not just stroked in red? that would really make it pop.

I didn't. I actually hate red, so this was a big step for me. It would look good, but I wanted a white bike.

Thanks for the compliments, I was a little wary of doing it.

Had a bit of fun at Coolum MX track . Its not my forte'. The 144 is going hard but with deep sand bring on the 165!! or get me a 250 .
3 to 4 laps and we were done.
Adjusted the power valve to bolt to bottom of slot and it was instant top end power increase but maybe a little less down low
Best thing was I passed by mate on his YZ450 who likes to talk it up .

PV - its one of those cheapies off ebay but its great . The pipe guard is great too but i couldnt get a big enough hose connector thingy for the fat fatty so I lost half of it

wow! looks like a pricey mecca i was sussing for my '09. good score mate!

i always trimmed them types of guards too and yer protecting the most important part- the head pipe. aaaand i didnt get me guard on soon enuf, pooched the pipe on porky yesterday in a giant boulder field climb, fak! :banghead: twas either that or start the section over. so i said pafft and stuffed it and kept going cuz i was bonking. baroop!
