• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Motoz tires

That is why my MotoZ came from Motosportz.
Support those that support us:thumbsup:
Can not say if I would have saved any money by purchasing local, it honestly does not matter.
BTW, with only a couple rides on frozen ground I feel they are performing just fine. Very impressed with the front tire. Rear works well and looks as if it will have a very long life.

Thanks man. I have 450 miles on the x-cir rear and it only looks about 15% (if that) warn. Seems to be holding up really well.

Ordered up an enduro ST front this morning to go with my Desert HT rear. These will see a true dual sport mix of slab, gravel and dirt. Riding to SW Wisconsin in August for the giuzzi rally, so we will see how they hold up to the mixed terrain. Hope they last the season which has a 1000 mile round trip on the TWAT as well.

I ordered up one front and two rear Tractionator Enduro I/T tires for my 630 from Motosportz.

I was having my doubts about actually getting in touch with them, as the one PM I tried to send here on the forum was never answered, and my email for tires wasn't answered in five days. If they hadn't answered when they did, I most likely would have bought some other tires from a local shop.

Once I got an email response, the transaction was completed and the tires were shipped that very same day (7/13).

These are going to replace the OEM Karoos that are on my 630.

The Enduro IT would have been a better choice for the front. Enduto IT front HT rear is a very good DS combo.

If you have one for sale I will take it. :D

Thanks, I am so behind the loop with tires, dual sporting. Just not riding as much as I would like this season

Two days of that were weekend. Was also looking into stock as the new container was here. Sorry about the delay.

PM me a price shipped to 52403 when you get a chance. I am in no rush

I spooned on the Motoz tires last night (man, that's a LOT of work in 90 degree heat + humidity).

I hopped on this morning for the ride to work (about 90% gravel roads if I choose that route) and discovered a flat tire. I must have pinched a tube :(

I have some of that Napa tire lube stuff. I powdered up the tube nice and everything. I'll submerge the tube to see where the leak is when I take it off.

Honestly, I needed new rim tape, but I tried to fudge it by just shifting the rim strips over a bit. My shortcut is probably what cost me. I didn't have any tape on hand.

Not that they wear fast..not at all..but i am ordering more than 2 at a time now.......they also make great wedding gifts

Its funny that in the US the Motoz tyre is getting real grass roots support with great wraps regarding their traction and longevity. In Australia where the brand hails from they are not nearly as acclaimed. It is a real shame but over here so many blokes think unless its a Pirelli or Dunlop it cant be that good. Consequently they will not try it. I cannot understand the reluctance, the tyres have been good from inception and have really shown considerable gains in traction and technology over the past 3 years. Come on Aussie get with the programme and support a world class local product. They are the only tyre I can feel comfortable to drop down to 6-8 psi in heavy mud and sand and KNOW that I will not get a pinch flat. They are the only tyre I know that hooks up well across the terrain spectrum and lasts me at leat 1500 kms and more-try that on a hard ridden 450 with 250 Lb rider on a Pirelli, or Kenda or Michelin-they just wont hold up to it. So give them a go next time you need new tyres and just be prepared to be blown away. The rears are incredible and the new fronts are amazing-best tyres I have ever used in my riding life. No I am not involved with the company or get freebies etc, I buy them at normal retail price-unfortunately.

I am just waiting for my stock tyres to wear out then on with the Motoz.
But you are right, ghte.
I am yet to see someone here with them on and I have only seen one dealer stock them

So far, I like them. They're a bit squirrely on grooved pavement. I haven't had them in the dirt yet; only gravel roads. They do inspire a lot more confidence on gravel than the OEM Karoos did.
