  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Man, do I feel left out...

I read the additions every day...sounds exciting and my inner two-stroke is calling.

What a difference a year makes! Keep up the movement, fun to watch and Hello to everyone.

We are still here, right now I'm relegated to prepping the '12 TXC250, which by the way is a freakin blast.

The boy took to it big time! Perfect jump from the 125.

Sorry about the mini-hijack, off-topic post...can't even imagine it will derail this train!
(More like a penny on the track...)

Sweet!

and no linkage. This is the most simple bike I have ever owned. Takes very little upkeep and is fun to ride.

This bike is pretty neat... Engine LOOKS HUGE with the cooling fins, and it's no slouch either. It does feel good. Kelly has a knack for knowing what a bike should feel like / perform like. I got a chance to ride it in the sand a few weeks ago, and yesterday on some single track. Loads of bottom end, and it feels good!

The thing about Kelly and his collection of bikes that REALLY bugs me: He is the same speed (FAST) on all of them. Doesn't matter if he's riding a 125, or a 510. He can slay even the tightest single track on a big ol' hog of a bike.... I get on a different bike, and it takes me a few hours of seat time before I can wick it on a little....

Riding for 35 years straight and probably tried over 200 bikes will do that for you.

Andy and Toy Tech... Great rider and Great shop!:applause:

I wish that Rotax still made the 175 and 250 rotary valve engines. Those were quiet and powerful. Put that in a ATK like frame or a Husky like frame with a PDS type rear suspension. I would even like a set of good standard forks 43mm. Like XR400 or XR600 forks.

Sweet congrats! I just put my 08 CR144 top end on a friends 2000 CR125 and he couldn't believe the difference. LOL He almost looped it! I'll be moving up to the 165. racemx904 have you had a chance to ride a 144? They are so sweet I'm a little scared about letting my 144 top end go. Good luck.

I just put my WB165 kit in my new to me WR125 . I went out a kind of local track with some trails thrown in. This kit really runs good, I installed the kit with a Mikuni TMXX , Doma pipe and Leo vince silencer. Walt has done an amazing job with the kit it just strait up rips top to bottom. The most amazing part is running it with the WR ignition , it spools up so fast and has NO lag . It is really hard to believe that it runs as good as it does.

Nice Job Walt:cheers:

Sweet ride , I like the blue seat cover and yellow and blue plastics. What year?

It is jetted pretty close , I finished welding up my modded Gnarly today and I am going to test them back to back . The Doma works good , after riding a few of these and with different pipe combos I think the 200 fatty is probablly the best. I want to see what the gnarly is all about , not to worried about a little top end loss i dont ride pinned anyway. I would really like to find a used Dynoport 200 Big volume and try it , not really a big FMF fan. Iam really liking the RB modded TMXX it is working nice and seems to have lost its finiky nature

That's great, I am going to finally send him mine when I get back home. When I talk to Rich in the next few weeks I will see if he will fit one up and send it to me to try. If it works well I will send it on to you.

John...Ya it is bad arse....also has a pwk...this thing is a beast...I dont know that I need a 165....but may still try since I am a fatboy...lol

I am interested to know what you think of the Gnarly. I am waiting on a 14t sprocket from Kelly and will test my combo a bit more. I think the Gnarly is a good option but I want to try and tone down the hit a just little. Season opener is coming up in a few weeks so I want to have it dialed in. I didnt get any time to mess with the bike this week due to the 'honey do' list getting a bit lengthy!

YEA, I just got word from home that my Walt modified pipe is sitting at the back door. I can't wait to put it on for the National Enduro this weekend. I have altered my gearing to 14/52 and put on a huge 110/100X18 Pirelli MT16 at 10psi, for the upcoming slick conditions this weekend.
