  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc I Rode The Prototype Wr200 And It Is Amazing...

Hopefully can get mine running in next few days. All back together but silencer (leo vince) isn't fitting on modified Sx 200 pipe. Have no idea why that is beyond fit must be lots tighter than FMF silencer.

Mine was tight too,I used a dremel with a barrel sander - 40grit , just ran it around the inside a little , slips right on

I rode again today.... About 6-8" of snow on the trails and temps in mid 30's F. Traction was minimal, even with short studs, should have had the Trellies today. Bike ran very well and continues to impress with torque. I was able to shift up and lug the bike to keep it from spinning up and losing traction. It had been logged where I was riding, so you had to be on your toes for square edged ruts hidden under the snow. I spoke to Lindsay Pirie at P3 and I'll have Walt's 200 SX Fatty pipe in a week or so to try. Turned my AS in a half turn to 1.0 and bike starts, idles and comes off idle better at temps just below and above freezing. Bike "flat rips" as Kelly says.

Norman, What did you speak to Lindsay Pirie about ?
Lindsay's a personal friend. Walt has sent the 200 pipe to P3, so they can do a pipe guard. E-Line/Moose has discontinued the 200SX Fatty one. Walt wants me to try the pipe after P3 is done with mold and guard, so they are shipping pipe and guard to me. I was just checking the status.

Man, do I feel left out...

I read the additions every day...sounds exciting and my inner two-stroke is calling.

What a difference a year makes! Keep up the movement, fun to watch and Hello to everyone.

We are still here, right now I'm relegated to prepping the '12 TXC250, which by the way is a freakin blast.

The boy took to it big time! Perfect jump from the 125.

Sorry about the mini-hijack, off-topic post...can't even imagine it will derail this train!
(More like a penny on the track...)

Let me know. I would like one for my bike too.

...Well OK, technically husky has nothing to do with this bike and technically it is only a 165 but if husky built a WR200 and it ran this good they would be back on the map big time. This bike freaking ROCKS...
Sounds fantastic! :applause:

But since this is a test ride of a 165, and Husqvarna is not really making it, then I suppose it belongs in the 2st forum... where out new 2st organizing person can keep track of it.

I'll move it over to the 2st forum with a 1 month re-direct.

Having completed the mod needed to attach my Leo Vince to the SX 200 pipe Walt adapted for me will just say one word to describe the motor, AWESOME! The 165 is very impressive! The RB Design Carb mods made jetting a snap and the combination of the 165 kit, pipe, and carb most certainly work and work quite well. Only one complaint......the kickstarter!!

How did you mod the pipe junction? I have to say that I go back and forth about the kickstarter... longer would be nice, but harder to get on at the top of the stroke.

For whatever odd reason my Leo Vince and the mod SX pipe Walt did had same ID and OD. Ended up cutting up an old Acerbis Silencer and salavaging the flared connector and then cutting and welded it back onto the SX Pipe.

My size 13s have trouble on that small starter LOL!

cedarchopper what carb did you have RB mod? I'm waiting on my 165 kit now but can you describe how the 165 motor pulls/feels? Thanks.

He recut my slide, bored and modied my carb including his divider. I then installed RM needle and jet and beyond adjusting air screw/idle was nearly spot on.

I didn't get a chance to ride as much I'd have liked to because my suspension was bascially stuck on for quick demo down street a few times. I was impressed with off idle and midrange. The top end is there and cannot wait to get gearing right and get a real woods test on it because have very good feeling that this is going to be all one could want in a small bore!
