I have experienced oil pouring out of my air box. I was afraid the bike was going to burst into flames with all the oil on the exhaust! I've been looking at ZipTy's oil separator system, it's attractive and well sorted, but 320 bucks is a lot of scratch. I'm working on a low buck home solution. Time to search the forums. Hope to run into you on the trail somewhere. I try to get to Enoree as often as possible.

I'm using a small go kart catch can in the space previously occupied by the smog canister. This is in conjunction with the ZipTy breather and oil return parts. I haven't experienced any oil in the airbox with this setup and 1150 ml of oil.

Rpms start buzzing pretty high at around 74 I cant see it being able to go much faster then that. Bought the bike brand new it's been like that since day one no flame outs or issues runs perfect

Once my 511 was fueled properly with a pcv, before my engine mods, there was no problem taking it to a hundred.

I did a DIY breather on my own bike here in Aus, there's a thread on it here on CH.
There's quite a few others now also.
    Search DIY breather 449.
I'm running 1150ml of 5w40 oil even at 215 engine hours.

Tinken I can get a good deal on a jd power surge 6x is that going to give me more top speed, or should I just spend the extra money on a pcv

I would go with the pcv. You can get one from Motomummy.com for pretty cheap.

That should be no problem as long as you have the breather options installed. Just load my map into the unit.

Tinken i see your well respected on this site. Can you recommend and mods that will increase hp on my 2012 te449. Im coming off a cr450 and i was hoping this bike was a little faster. Is there any mods that will make this bike rip..i only have an fmf pipe and race 2 set...thanks in advance for your help.

Hello, first post here, I bought a 2012 TE449 recently. It came with a full Akrapovic pipe (resonator chamber, carbon endcap, no O2 sensor) and is on Racemap 2. it still feels lean, so I read a bunch of threads here, and ordered a PCV and AT from MotoMummy, thanks Tinken.

My question is this - which map should I start with? The map from Dynojet, or something else? I've never used an auto tune before, and I need to get a bung welded on the Ti header.

    Thanks,
    Dean
