  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc WR300 love thread.

Sweet that's even better , hoping for $3500 but it got traded in at 5.30 today so they haven't detailed or anything yet so it will be interesting to see hours KM on it be there first thing in the morning

hey shawbagga just having a look at bike in pictures and as you noticed the chain guide is different well after sussing out over the web if you notice they had the same guide on them but the 2013 in a few test I see changed the guide to this one so im hoping that this is the last of the wr 300 model anyway im just heading off to go check it out , tell you how I go

Yeah they may well have changed the chain guide in last model years-nylon heaps better anyway n tm TM designworks or brp heaps better again. Haggle em hard use the missing case saver as leverage n is bet the swingarm flap has worn into the swingarm(no biggy but more leverage). Not much paint off frame in boots area so unless bn painted it's had little use or an easy life. Check airboot n intake manifold for signs of crackin/perishing. Easy fix tho

Good luck if U cn pik it up for cheap u laughin do everythin a ktm will do!

Pick the scrawniest salesperson, preferably in tennies, make them start it and then haggle some more when they can't do it

Hey, I'm 5'6", 145 and I can start it in running shoes - with no socks!

Except that time it was out of gas and I tried for 20 minutes before I figured it out... and by that time I was out of gas.

Startin it in shoes is fine it's wen I be lazy n try start it in half worn out thongs(flip flops for u yanks not not burnt out undies!) that I soon regret it.

Looks clean! FYI if you're after a force pipe guard/bashy dao I think it is off DBW has them in black for $180 del. tuff bit of kit that isn't that heavy n I've found doesn't çollect much mud. One bolt release too

Get the shark fin/big rotor kit for the small grabby rear brake from Hall's or ZipTy. Big improvement.

ps I borrowed these photos from Eurocycle01. Thanks. I hope its ok...
