• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey all,
I got a few questions and I am looking for a little advice. I am going to install a FMF pipe and am looking at the Ibeat and JDjetting equipment. I already have the PU installed and removed the air box restrictor. I know I am going to need more with the FMF. Any suggestions on which one to use and what settings? Thanks!

Thanks! I saw these and was trying to see if there was anyone else out there too. Looks like JD will be goin in first. I got an IBeat comming, but I am going to just keep that for diagnostic issues for now. Thanks again.

Capt42104, judging by your profile picture I assume you just bought a new 2011 TE630. The ibeat is going to be for diagnostic purposes only as discussed at length on this forum. Your bike comes with a 24 month factory warranty, so unless your dealer isn't near by or doesn't inspire confidence put the ibeat in your closet. The JD tuner will be your most smile inducing add on a few hundred dollars can buy. Start with the preset numbers set by JD and add fuel in the mid (yellow) and high (red). My bike (2011 TE630) with twin Leo Vince slip-ons, started to come alive with added fuel in those areas. Put some miles on your bike before really hammering it. It will loosen up and get smoother with each ride. Keep us posted.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice! IBeat arrived today and is kinda cool. I installed the JD last night and noticed the bike was totally smooth when i fired it up compared to the PU kit alone. I just pulled the Cats to free up some space for the FMF Q4, which is in the mail. I can wait. I will give a full report when i get it.
