As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Wow! What a difference at speed. Looked down and noticed I was going 75.
Was catching a little bit of a sail on the bars, but that may have been the concrete.
I'll hit the dirt and see if the screen interferes with body movement.

I bought a Hammerhead +20 from Motorcycle Superstore via Amazon.com. I think it was like $30. The Hammerhead tip has a wider mount when I hold it up to the stock tip. I think it can be solved by adding a few small washers. When I look at Russ' post and pics it looks like that is what his dealer did. I remember reading somewhere else that someone used a Hammerhead shift lever for a KTM, he made it work with only a little tweaking by a hammer.

Just returned from a great day of riding.
Maybe wasn't the best test ride for the screen, but it's good to know that it isn't too obtrusive in some moderately technical terrain. I would have preferred not to have it on the bike, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Never made contact, but it was slightly distracting. On the pavement it's a different story. All calm air on the chest and most of the draft over the top of my helmet. No buffeting at all. I think I will keep this original and make another about 1-2 inches shorter. Also, there is some glare from the headlight, but not extreme.
The TCI brackets are a great start to a fairly simple and inexpensive project.
I've got close to a 800 mile ride coming up next weekend for the LAB2V. I'm also riding to and from the event, so I will most likely remove the windscreen for the two days of off road and put it back on for the partial pavement ride home.

Not a purchase, but I did receive (from the dealer, in the mail) a new set of sprocket nylock bolts, a new oil return line and the replacement push rod.Oh- and I also rec'd the t-motorsports mirrors but haven't put them on yet.

Thanks for the tip on where to get 'em cheaply. As Travis has asked I am curious also as to what the vibes will be like through these things, but then again I had a similar set up on my old KTM and they did "OK" (I didn't mind the marginal buzziness I had...it was worth it to lose the stalks.)
Now the thing is..and it's minor...is this... When I "test fitted" them (haven't really mounted them yet) I learned that placing the clamps inboard of the lever mounts isn't going to work (in terms of allowing proper placement and adjustment)- so now I know why you placed them between the lever mount and the switch housings. My concern w/ that (though very mild) is that this moves the levers inward by the thickness of the mirror clamp, thereby slightly increasing the reach to the closest part of the lever (the dog leg section which is closest to your reach.) I've got modestly sized hands (OK, fairly small) and I've always been a 1-2 finger guy (1 for brake and 2 on clutch.) I don't think it'll be an issue whatsoever, but curious as to if I'll notice an increase in reach. Probably much ado over nothing though. Thanks again for the tip on where to get 'em for a reasonable price and fast....looking forward to mounting them. Oh- and by the way for those of you that do get them: I've found that the screws don't spin super freely in the threads and the threads don't appear to be very hearty, so I'll imagine you'd want to be pretty careful when tightening them down.

Practically zero, actually, at least a whole lot less than the long-stalked stock mirrors.
As to the levers, there was already a bit of a gap on mine, so I only moved each lever in ~1/8" which didn't make any difference in feel.
And yea, make sure and tighten the mirror-side clamp bolt first, then the other one, otherwise the mirror will be floppy.
The field of view isn't huge, and I can't see directly behind me with this setup, but I always look over my shoulder before changing lanes or anything. I got them mostly for blind spots and to stay legal. If I mounted them on the bar ends I would have a much larger field of view. (They come with bar-end inserts btw)
