• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

PNW Husky event. Bend, OR. Oct. 15-16, 2010

WELL GUYS PLANNED ON BEING THERE ,STILL AT WORK AND GOING JUST NOT ENOUGH TIME IN A DAY,MAYBE NEXT TIME ,billf

It was great to meet so many of you on Friday. Unfortunately the motorhome had electrical problems in the middle of the night. A trip to town at o-dark-thirty to try to repair things turned into a return home shortly thereafter. Bother. I hope you all had fun the rest of the weekend.

Sorry to hear that. We never made it out to camp 2 yesterday, so I didn't get the opportunity to meet you.

Yea, we were looking for you too. I am sure we will find another time to do some riding. Maybe up in Gifford Pinchot where Kelly could show some of us 'southerners' around.

Had a great time and was really cool to hang out with all of those I got to meet! Much too dusty to pull the camera out on the trail but here are a few on our ride to Paulina peak.

East lake.

Dustsucker, thanks for your help, sir! Hope you found what I left in the same location? Didn't get to meet you in all the chaos, hopefully next time.

Home safe and sound, as I predicted I was the WAY better rider than woodschick & Kelly. No drops this weekend, but man I had a gazillion close calls:busted:

That place was amazing, like riding on an olympic bobsled run:thumbsup: Unfortunately there were a couple head-on's and a few broken bones, Heal quick guys!

MUCHO GRACIAS to ioneater for his amazing generosity and hospitality:applause: Without his help I wouldn't have been able to attend. THe downside is that now I want a 510 AND a txc250:cool:

I'm home!

Eric and I had a great time! The best part was meeting (almost) everyone face to face, and the riding wasn't too bad, either :)

We just might have to do this in NorCal sometime :D

Man up like SepticSceptic did and ride that 610 down here!

It was a barrel o' fun meeting you, xymotic!
I take back all those things I said about you :D

Yeah well, I may be having 8 months of broken 610 like Septic did if I can't figure out what's wrong with the thing.

I didn't take my camera out on the trails as it was incredibly dusty, but I did get a few photos here and there around camp. Sure wish I'd taken more...

It was a pleasure meeting some of you. I wanted to spend more time getting to know everyone and riding, but my wife was none too please about her share of babysitting duty and the fact I spent Sat. in the hospital. Still had a good time though!

Real sorry to Ryan for what happened. I feel terrible for you man and I hope you get to go home soon. Many thanks to his brother and crew for evac'ing us out of there! And thanks to everyone else whom stopped and helped! It made a bad situation end as smoothly as possible.

Hope you're feeling alright too Kelly.
I think that trail is cursed
