• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

It was really nice to get to meet a few of you. I had a good time riding even with all the dust. Tammy I would love to meet up in California for a ride. I was on my KTM 530 and it was funny to see this lonely orange bike in a sea of red and white Huskys. I am thinking about picking up a 2011 TE 310 for the next get together.

 I tried to keep you company by riding my KTM over to your camp :D I felt like a criminal! Yeah, we should get a CA ride the works, shouldn't we?

A good riding buddy of ours (Manic here) just ordered up a 2011 310. He rides a YZ250F now and rails on that thing so I think he's really going to like the 310. Eric rode Mo's `10 310 and thought it was a total blast!

My crew didn't go unscathed either. Saturday I took my kids out, and my youngest (11yrs) pasted his mighty DRZ 110 into a tree while jumping some whoops. I left the Chuckwagon WR 250 on the side of the trail and rode him back to camp, fortunately only a few miles. A trip to Bend showed a broken left radius for the poor guy, but at least he gets to wear a cast to school!

Oh, man! I'm sorry to hear about that! But if he's like most 11-year-olds I know, he'll heal completely before your very eyes and will be showing off that cast at school tomorrow like a trophy :) Give him our best, ok? Hey, check this out:cool:

When he was chatting with us you could see they were so chopping at the bit to ride. Good stuff.

A buddy of mine who's involved with legal stuff advised that I remove the video from public sites. His concern was the other riders insurance company is not going to be happy paying out big surgeon fee's and will look for any way to pass the buck.

I do have the vid hosted on a private site and password protected. If anyone would like to see it then please pm me.

And if anyone has an update on rpmguy then please advise. I've pm'd him, but I imagine it'll be a while before he's able to see it and respond.

PC. Glad that we were there to help you two guys out of there, everyone worked together, lucky we got cell service and were close to the road, but we wish you could of met the TJR guy's another way. Take care.

RPMguy, I'll buy your amazing motor to help pay the bills.

Really sorry to hear of this. I had met RPMguy the day before and he let me ride his 08 CR144 PC hit. That bike is the single fastest 125/144 i have ridden by a long shot. CR ignition, shaved head, .05 base gasket, advanced ignition, 100% race gas and that bike feels like 250. Amazing. I have some work to do.

Heal up quick buddy. Chatted with your friends some Sunday, great bunch it seems.

When I was hit my insurance company had me fill out forms a couple times relating to the other rider, basically trying to figure out who they could sue. I told them (truthfully) I didn't know who he was and never saw him again. We were both hurt and therefore too preoccupied to trade information.

Anyone want to guess what Jake is doing here? Did he loose something? Hint, it kept him from riding Saturday.
