• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

In the first pic, is that you on the right? It almost looks like the stop/tail light is on top of the fender.

That's a Husky branded Acerbis Molsoft tailight. It was "Standard Issue" for the US spec enduro lighting kit from '92 to present for 2 strokes and '92-'05 on 4 strokes(pre-street legal).

No. I am on the left. And correct that is the stock Husky(Acerbis) tail light. I ended up putting the same one on my TXC450.

Welcome Plan B, looks like you have a mighty fine camera!

Thanks -- yeah I like to take pictures. It's one of the reasons I got into Motor Bikes.

I just tarded my 610 a couple of weeks ago so of course I had to go and take some shots...

Nice photos, Plan B! I like the little guy you've got sitting in your rear wheel. Is he a little gremlin that keeps you safe?;)

I kind of went the other way with my 610; It's an SM with knobbies and other dirt accoutrements. Fun bike, eh?

You from Vancouver Washington or Canada?

The real Vancouver! Only Wershington Vancouverites specify which Vancouver.
Yes BC.

I spent the last 10 years in Eastern WA.

Hey there Plan B
Those “motard” pictures are great, kindda cool angle for a video (until a rock smashes your lens…)
It would be nice to see the whole bike, black rims and all

You must not be paying attention, Mr. Waters. There have been a few photos posted here and there on various forums, including right here in the Cafe. What...you don't read every one of my posts? Dang...

Here you go, you non-believer you...

So now are you a believer?

Woodschick, that is hands down the gnarliest, toughest 610 i have ever seen. :notworthy:

Do you ever roll up to stop lights and harley riders duck their heads and look away so as not to incur your wrath?

It does kinda look like it could eat the world if it wanted to.
