• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

NW Gathering Round 3 - November 7-11 2012

Our crew will be rolling in starting on Thursday on into Friday, with eight plus guys. Hope there is some moisture, it's going to be a great time like last year.

I plan to be there Wed-Fri then off to Eddieville (Goldendale, WA) for the final OMRA GP of the year to watch my brother wrap up the 50 Ex title on my TXC511...although by then he may have a big enough lead that he wont even need to ride since he already has an 80 point lead with 3 races to go (and a 1st place is 75 points). The Watson Suspension/BMP/Johnson Bros bike will be available for limited riding W-Th so y'all can try out our suspension setup.

I will be there 9, 10, 11. I have learned to not ever believe anyone is coming with me until I have them loaded up.

I do this multiple times a year!
No better place to clean out your main jet than China Hat.

I just realized I have that Monday off, so we may roll in Saturday morning instead of Friday and stay til Monday. Or we may still roll in Friday morning and stay til Sunday. Or I may quit my job and live off the land indefinitely, which would put me way ahead in paying taxes. Tough choice.

I will be getting there late Friday and leaving Monday morning as I have the day off also...

I really want to go down to China Hat again!

But I have a small problem . . .

I got a new bike, and it's not a Husky : (
I still have my Husky, but may sell it by then. Is it still acceptable to attend???

HAhaha,, I showed up the first year with my CRF450R, and had never owned a husky, nor did I plan on owning one at that point. No one kicked me out, so I'm sure you'll be ok.... Just say your there to test ride the huskys!

My daughter and her SO ride Hondas. They attended the first two gatherings and will be there this year. They are close to buying at least one Husky (finally) though.
We should be there by Thursday if not before.

What (if I may ask) did you buy?

Well, my local club Emerald Trail Riders is coming over that weekend and camping adjacent, so you can always hide amongst them.

Come on down, the more the merrier.

Please dont tease!

We would be pulling in Friday evening!

My son will be there on his KX85 (unless Bill can make me a crazy deal on a 125! It would have to be REALLY crazy though....)

I think the doc (in the first post) needs to be updated with the correct dates. I opened it, saw the dates and about had a heart attack thinking I had requested the wrong dates off from work.
