    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I really want to know some details before this thread gets longer.

Who will be collecting the money?
What currencies? Who will be determining the exchange rate?
Who will be shipping to whom?

I seem to be spending most of my days addressing "deals gone bad" or "deals that were not exactly up to my expectations" as of late - I *do not* want another issue to address.

All good valid questions, hopefully Toyboy can address these with others that have arisen during this thread. When he communicates with GPR sometime today.
If anyone else has any questions or concerns in regards to the product, performance or handlings of this item. Now might be a good time to raise them. Many heads better than one and all that.
 
I can't see how an aftermarket can could get any hotter than the stock units; cook your lunch on them! I'm sure than anything you put on will get hot but I am more concerned with what happens with the fueling. I think adding a PC V will be important; it sure was on my WRR when going to a single FMF. Not a huge problem but noticeable.
 
I can only go by my experience with an X-Challenge.
That bike had a single can with a cat converter and it was MUCH hotter than my Terra is.
Uncomfortably hot.

Wow I do not think Coffee was going out of line on those questions. Sounds like some one woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. I think so far every thing looks to be going forward in an adult direction. Thank you for asking the questions most of us are waiting to hear Coffee

Is he saying we need to wait a month...OR...is he saying we can order now through Paypal? Just wanted to make sure I got that right. I don't mind waiting, just as long as 1 month doesn't become 3.

California may be more in line with Eu regards the law on after market exhausts, so some of us may still require the catalyst.
On the spread sheet we received only one item in USD - Nero Furore - Full System, all other prices were in EU Can we get a complete item list in USD?
To whom do we send paypal if the US sight is still 1 month out?

Can you help answer these please with GPR? Really appreciate your efforts and help!

I think Mega's saying Paypal now - online via webpage for US 1 month. I just posted with a response to some of these questions. But being as you're also in Ca any idea on the current status with emission laws on cats on after market systems?
 
I think with after market exhausts they have to be certified California emissions compliant. I know in the auto industry this is always the problem. This exhaust might play a problem because I doubt GPR is going to spend the money to do that just for the Terra. Although if they are using a can that is 50 state certified here in the USA maybe it is universal for any bike. Or is there different laws for motorcycles in California? When I was selling and shipping new cars only cars made for California could be sold in California because of the emissions laws.

To answer the question of the catalyst appearance from them.
The prices I think they are those given in the attached table. I think these prices are already inclusive of discount for users of the forum.
When you make the order to motochepassione will need to specify that you are on the forum.
That said, we now expect the response of the esponsabile GPR.

Per la questione del catalizzatore aspetto risposta da loro.
I prezzi credo che siano quelli riportati nella tabella allegata. Questi prezzi credo siano già comprensivi di sconto per gli utenti del forum .
Quando farete l'ordine a motochepassione dovrete specificare che siete del forum.
Detto questo , ora aspettiamo la risposta del esponsabile GPR.

can't say if motorcycle emission laws are different or not here. Just seems to be Ca is becoming 'the' LAW in many respects. What you say makes sense. But some part of me doesn't want to look any deeper than necessary, in fear of what i might find!

sure is lame! First item i found on line concerned V and H getting popped .5K in June for something of this nature. I'm wandering if EU and Ca laws are comparable?

There was no attached table with this message? The original we received only showed 1 item in USD - Nero Furore - rest were in EU. Would it be possible to get a revised price list for all items in USD?
The rest understood!! Not sure how easy it will be ordering in Italian! But for me may depend on Ca emission laws. Does GPR know if these exhausts are 50 US (statewide) compliant? This would be good to know - Thanks!
 
Weird, my last two posts did not go through....

Is Ca going to be doing bi-annual smog inspections on bikes like they do cars? If not, how would they know if we were compliant or not?

only concern i can see, or several besides smog inspection. Being ticketed for non compliant, if pulled over ....so let's hope it's quiet. Or god forbid it came to light in a traffic inccident/wreck or such.
I just emailed the vendor who has one on ebay posing the ca smog emission compliancy. Meanwhile i'll try find a accessory retailer, or full dealership to pose the question.
 
If i remember when it comes to aftermarket parts they have a certain number that links the part with the California compliant laws. Like a serial code or some thing. So it would have to be approved and there is a process in doing so. Just trying to help not be a buzz killer. Evan though I live in Florida still interested. I have a friend that lives in California and we talk about guns, cars, and motorcycles all the time and alot of your laws make it difficult to have what you really want.
