• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

GPR Exhaust Group buy.

Waiting for the English site to be done so that I do not mess anything up on my end. Post pics and stuff when you get it on****************************************!

Hello to all. Sorry for late posting here but have been on the road a bunch and leaving again. We just lost another person here at work and I will be on the road traveling covering NY, MD and VA from PA for work. Going to be really hard for me to pursue a group by thing do to time constraints so my sincerest apologies for any grief or delay in getting an exhaust.

Not really sure how many people really interested to be honest as well. I got only about 4 requests for orders. I know a lot of you guys have tech questions and possibly waiting to see what the end product here will be installed. I did get in touch with Alex at GPR and explained the forum etc. The discount he was able to offer was only 5% due to the RD etc.so not a great savings all in all for a lot of work.
I mentioned to him about posting the exhausts on Ebay with tech specs you guys have been asking about. ( I did ask about spark arresters and what they call DB killer is also a legal spark arrester. ) He mentioned that they are in the process of posting a few of the available models on Ebay, I haven't looked yet.
One thing I did finally understand by the way about their header, it is set up to allow you to use the stock left muffler and eliminate the right had pipe for whatever reason you deem fit, ie to install a canister for storage , shed weight etc. As many of you, I thought it was to enhance performance and that is not the case.
He mentioned not being able to list all exhausts and keep the costs down via Ebay. They will be creating a GPR US based website by the end of October if I understood him correctly.
I did order an exhaust that will take about 10 days to receive. I ordered the Black single that is 483.00 including shipping to give you all an idea.I got a single in black and will be glad to post any results if anyone interested with sound bite etc. I am listing Alex's email here so if interested in placing an order, you can email him directly and he will send paypal invoice etc.<info@motochepassione.it>;
I believe the same one posted by Megatriker in his original GPR thread.
If anyone interested in picking up the group buy feel free, just email Alex but they totally understood and are more than happy to assist individually as I am doing my order.
He did ask what the size of the Forum was or at least the TR subscribers portion of the forum to get an idea but I don't have that info. Does anyone know? Is there a way to even check? Regards to all, Cheers, Dave

Effectively, despite all the megatiker's efforts, theyre just asking 'Who are you and why should we bother?' (5% I can do just by emailing them). Italians, huh ?!? :D

Guys be patient until next week. Saturday I go to take my bike and I will try to clarify all your questions.

............

I was given a code to enter at the end of the site motochepassione cart. This code, however, 'is only valid for those who buy from Europe. That is a 10% discount. I was told that when it is ready the site for America will be done the same thing with a new code. However, I repeat, Saturday I do explain everything well. Be patient

Nothing to pick up really. I think once the US website is setup it'll be easy peasy. By all means- pics-pics-pics!!

hello to all. Yes, yesterday I picked up my bike from the GPR. Unfortunately I have not yet had the opportunity to try it because I came home with the car and cart just today. Tomorrow, however, 'I'll go to work and lighthouse 80 km away. I'll tell you everything. Aesthetically discharges are WONDERFUL ... my model are the rage. Given that I lent him my bike all this time I have made a special double titanium (for the wrath is not expected titanium coating). We did bench tests together. The horses remain the same, but gains a lot of torque in the first part delivery. I'll post some pictures;)

ciao a tutti.

... it also seems that current laws in Ca as of 2012 require motorcycles be smogged every second year. So for that occasion the stockers would need to go back on. Maybe the price some of us will have to pay if we want to pursue after market pipes in this state!

LEOs will sporadically target aftermarket pipes here in socal but the CA.GOV site says NO smog inspection on MCs. They are exempt (for now).

Does my vehicle qualify for a smog exemption?

Smog inspections are required unless your vehicle is:
  • Hybrid
  • Gasoline powered 1975 year model or older
  • Diesel powered 1997 year model and older or with a Gross Vehicle Weight rating (GVWR) of more than 14,000 lbs
  • Electric
  • Natural gas powered with a GVWR rating of more than 14,000 lbs.
  • Motorcycle
  • Trailer

great! did you choose the single or double? Appearance photos, meanwhile there tomorrow if I can put my time that I put all the accessories.

Still undecided which setup to go with... Anybody spotted weight comparison ? Like: original double with Y-link, GPR double with original Y-link and GPR single with GPR single link ?

now I have the ability to turn the bike in individual discharge. But for now I like the dual exhaust too.

Gpr makes beautiful looking pipes. Just bought onr for Sally's KTM Duke. Had a problem with the mounting bolt but otherwise all good.

Ciao Mega, I went with the single exhaust. Nero Furore version. I was very surprised to see that I got a full exhaust system, header and all. Build quality is beautiful. Welds perfect as is fitment. I have it spotted on the bike and I want to take the time to weigh the stock system and then the GPR to see what the difference is.

It was boxed nicely, everything came in black helmet bag type sacks. Instructions were a bit minimal with pictures. You had to pic your picture of the exhaust you have. It is so self explanatory that I wouldn't knock them for it. I did have a couple of brackets that I don't need. I will post pics and weight results shortly, hopefully over the weekend. I am installing my Power commander with Autotune from REVZILLA, uniflo filter. I am also in contact with Rexxer and plan on delivering my bike to them by EOM and having them look at the mapping etc for the benefit of all.

I do not know, tomorrow I ask! But some members have bought through direct contact with motochepassione and were pleased, for both price and speed of delivery.
