As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
I am sure most of this is coming from laying bike on its side to pressure wash.
Just wondering how you guys compare 17 ktm husky 150 to old pre 2014 Husky 165. I did get to ride a 17 ktm 150 xc-w and really feel a te250 or 250xc-w ,beta 250rr might be my next bike. Sorry but 150 felt the same or less than my old 165 husky power wise and handling was good but if spending cash for new bike why not get get a little more power. Just did a 2 hour race on my 165 and guy let me do 1 lap on his new 150 ktm after race was done and I was not impressed compared to old Husky. Just my feeling and do not want to piss of anybody that love this bike. I know the advantages to a smaller lighter less powerfull bike but I have been riding that for 6 years and getting to the point where a little more easy to use power might help. Not ktm 250sx power just easy to use power.
Sherco 175! If it wasn't so damn orange I'd want a '16 200xcw. Planning a trip to KTM World to ride some pumpkins, but agree. Very difficult to replace the WB165.Just wondering how you guys compare 17 ktm husky 150 to old pre 2014 Husky 165.
