I have the PC4 on my 511, I also have the quiet insert sitting around waiting to be installed. It didn't come with any instructions, do I need to drill out the rivets or does it install on the other side of the muffler, where the mid pipe comes in (where there are allen bolts, I'm hoping that it's this side)?

Look in the the exhaust hole. Just inside on the bottom of the hole is a screw - mine was an allen head. Remove the screw and the spark arrestor pulls out. Slip the quiet core in and replace the screw. Pretty easy.

I would be def interested in replacment items brake and gear levers!

Cant remember the price, was around 900-1000 from trooper lu's! i bought a whole heap of other stuff at the same time so i cant recall.
Im thinking of turning my stock akro into a shorty muffler for the tard track!

Any news on the aftermarket gear shifter leavers?
I just had to replace mine, because it chewed out the spline.
$130 for OEM is stupidly Ridiculaus! But i needed it

Can you share where you found this Hammerhead? I didn't see any for Husky on their website.

I'd also like to know where you got that swingarm graphic from. That's cool.

Mate, I agreed with almost all of your post for sure.
The TE449 is an awesome bike once the substandard EFI tuning is sorted.
I had an '05 WR450 for 3 or 4 years & was all keen to stump up cash for a new one when they went EFI.
I test rode them at two different ride days, some standard, some with pipes & tuning and ....... they rode exactly the same as my well set up '05!!!
I rode the TE449 & what a revolution, stable, fast, roomy to get around the bike & rear traction in abundance!

Then the love-hate started with the flame-outs, hanging idle & hard restarts. I was sooooo close to ditching the bike, but could not think of something else I'd like to ride more (Not fond of the KTM 2st or 4st, Bergs are very similar, WR still the same as it was,CRF hasn't changed in 5 or 6 years...) So I set myself the task of fixing my EFI problems, but I didn't want to pour any more money into it.

I'm in love with it again all over :D
I have 115hrs of hard riding on it & it bounces back for more.
The new snap from mid-range catches all the other bikes I ride with by surprise & it keeps pulling up top as well.
I'm about to give it a 'birthday' & renew the plastics (+ 2 piece rear guard)& graphics & it'll be my 'New' bike for a while yet!!

(For my bike - I've had a great run from the original chain in mud, dirt & sand- I liked the original colours [although I'm gonig white] - my chain guide has taken a few hits & is ok- I submerged my bike in a creek then rode a full ride & cleaned the electrics when I got home- the Akro is bent in two spots despite having the special parts guard)

I'd buy it again too, for sure!!!

Mate. You have to look around the forums, sorry.
If I post my views it'll just start another argument.
I'd like to be more help than that.

    Kevin,
I did just notice your profile shows a TE450, the mods as detailed in the above posts are for the later model TE449/511 bikes & aren't suited to your model, sorry.
I don't have any knowledge of your model, others here do though.
