Av gas definitely works better at high elevations than near sea level. It is designed to fully vaporize at 5000ft and above. I've only had good results mixing AV gas with 93 crap pump gas, not pure AV gas.
    PaulD and robertaccio like this.

Like he just said AV Gas is designed for a air cooled motor at over 5,000 feet. It is also a very dry fuel and has a lot of anti freezing stuff in it
It does work much better in a 2 stroke then a 4 stroke because of the 2 stroke oil in it. It also works better when it is cold outside and hot summer days is not good for it

I have run F&L 110 leaded for about 30 years now. There are many places to purchase it. We even have a local gas station that sell it for 8.00 a gallon at the pump Or that them deliver you a 30 or 55 gallon drum

    Do you live in California?

I was briefly thinking of running T4 but at the prices I saw, I thought twice. Here's a screen shot of the racefuel.com shopping cart page. It shows price + tax & shipping:

30 gal drum isn't a bad idea. I'll definitely look into that.

remember the shelf life of good race fuel is several years in sealed container out of the light. might be worth picking up a drum in person if you can.

This didn't sink in until just now. Congratulations. That'll fund some race gas! :applause:
