Not sure if it has been 100 years, but every 6-9 months the same topic gets raised on every bike discussion site I have seen - and that is a LOT of sites.

Correct.

But communication is slow. For the record there is a whole lot of things going on - things that occurred which I had no control over, but affected this site.

2 things:

1. Just because this site has gotten so busy that the I cannot read every thread, and that someone had not contacted you saying you should stop - does not mean you haven't "crossed the line". And...
2. No you have not crossed the line.

Ok... let's see.

Besides the issue of oil getting in the air box, and things related to that, the number of topics in this thread are impressive. Up to and including belly button lint and ear wax.

And this thread is so incredibly long it is practically useless.. so I will close it. Feel free to start new (hopefully much shorter and more on topic) threads.
