• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Zeta Flasher Hand guard owners chime in please

I ordered zeta handguards with flashers and plan to run led spots where the factory flashers sit now... My question is when y'all put the zeta led flashers in did you run resistors in line or change the blinker switch to a led specific ... Thanks

If you off road at all and drop the bike your turn signals are very susceptible to damaged wiring. Make sure you include a small loop of wire that will allow for "spin" of the handguard if you drop the bike. I had LED's on my DRZ and they were great. I just left the blinkers blink faster. I thought it got the cagers attention better.

Thanks for the quick responses ... I can't seem to find a part number comparison between the 449/511 vs terra flasher to see if that one will work you used on your 310...good thinking about putting slack in the wires in case the guards get moved due to a drop..

12000 miles no issues. Just cut stock out and wire in new....thats all.
I had flashers on and the cam caught that image.

I've done it both ways with the Zeta, new flasher relay and resistors. Can't say one is any better than the other, as both worked fine.

Are these the Zeta's? I like the lines, any possibility of a shot showing their bar mounts, or the brand you chose to mount to, thanks!

I just cut a hole in my cycra guards when I got the hankerin' for a new headlight. No relays, just wired directly into the stock signal harness. Works fine, blinks at same rate. The lights I bought are replacement led's for the zeta guards. With shipping it cost me less than $30. As far as a review goes, there are much brighter LED's out there. In the daylight these aren't very visible.
