  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st What did you do to your Husky today?

I'm looking at the huge aluminium ones that armour the entire thing.
Force make one in Oz, but that's too much weight for you I bet.

haha...those Force guards are beasts. I like the Moose ali ones, was gonna paint it black and put a P3 sticker on it ;)

Well those are the ones im thinking will save my pipes lol.
Smashed the left hand pipe into the coolent hose an split it on the last enduro i did sad times put me outta the race.

I'm thinkin bout one of those force guards. One left on ebay for $180 del. bulky n heavy but ya won't smash a pipe with one on!!! The Ali n carbon guards will do sweet FA in a heavy hit I reckon(like I did yday n bent gnarly n busted a pipe mount-lazy n poor technique log climb), more jus for roost damage n light impact.

$180 cheap shawry, good deal, I got my eye on one for mine but they $290 last time I looked..
Flattened oem on stupid low side drop on a slow rutted berm...
I I'll blow out the dent once force one is ordered.. Still have to run a carbon for the top section..
Bloddy expensive this hobby of ours!!

I've got the super-duper Force Bashplate and pipe guard. Yes it is heavier at approx 3kg however my pipe is pristine. When riding through rocky sections and bush bashing I still hear lots of "clunk", "ding" and "crunch" sounds however it's hardly even damaged the paint and I know my pipe, engine and frame are well protected.
The TE300 is so light to start with, a little more weight down low helps to keep the front wheel from lifting when going up those 45 degree hills...

Got my project 250 running!
Thats 4 outta 5 bikes running now, awesome.
need to get a real deal swede already...especially since you live on the same island as the hva factory!
might be able to ship you one in pieces from the states cheaper than what ive seen them there tho..

Still waiting for parts to replac water pump seal,so bought and modified an Ebay KTM type headlight.
Also cleaned / oiled chain and sprayed "on bike ", the rear frame, metallic black:)20160610_121327.jpg20160606_201614.jpg20160620_175658.jpg20160620_190620.jpg

Started hearing a tapping noise while riding my 165 this past weekend so I pulled some parts off to figure what it was.

Yup, that'll do it.
