    WR = 2st Enduro & CR = 2st Cross

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st What did you do to your Husky today?

Just cut some stainless steel wheel spacers a friend did for CRF's, they have the right dimensions for WR's but were too long.

Came out pretty nice:

I got the time today to repack the silencers on the 99 WR 250 and the 05 TE 450. Along with changing the foot peg pins on both bikes. Both are nearly ready for the weekend.

New look and a bigger bore for my 08 cr125 ... Now a 165.This will become my race bike and last years race bike, my 09 wr 144 will become the 165 family trail bike.

Hmmmmm when I'm not logged in, it's upside down. Logged in it is correct.
Yup, must be the tires?

Last month I overhauled the top end of my 300 after 5 seasons of riding. Now I am waiting on a linkage bearing so I can replace that on the 300.

I did fork seals/oil, disassembled/lubed the kick-starter, some new bars/grips, and greased linkage bearings. It was the first time I have greased the linkage bearings on it and man do I love those caged bearings!! I will have to pull the swingarm and grease the bearings there this week, wrenching or riding - trying to balance both

Little one on front disc too! In a triple locked garage shed with dog guardin em! I'm paranoid bout bike security haha n they only cheap huskies-I'd be sweating if I had a $14k ktm/husky sittin in ther. Have to get insurance if got new bike but huskies not worth the premium(no offence boys)

I spent the whole afternoon into my workshop... rebuilding a 1998 CR125 and a 1993 WR250 Engine which will be used for a complete rebuild of both bikes.

Dented my dent  Stalled crossing a log, put a foot down on it and missed. Went down head first, ended up almost upside down with legs tangled in the bike  It was a 1st gear log crossing I've done dozens of times on the 300

Started my 300 today with 1 kick! 1st time ever, in over 1 1/2 years! Recently did rings at @ 100 hours

Now she got a new attitude  What a beast. Had a great ride, @ 5 miles of WFO fire road, then trimmed the face slappers on a couple miles of deep woods 2 track, then WFO back home on the fire road. As much fun as the 165 is, ain't nothing like a big bore 2t

NC please say your thinking of a piston too?

Did first extreme enduro on 360 sadly had to retire I stacked it so bad I pancaked my gnarly into the lower rad hose an split the thing! Had fun doing it tho. Today I'm blowing out my exhaust.

Actually, piston cleaned up well and still had cross hatching all over, cylinder too. No excessive wear. Will have a piston kit ready in 50 hours though.

Those 360 pipes are just begging to get smashed, nice pic
