  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st What did you do to your Husky today?

overnighter then husqracer? I imagine several of those cold beers would have been downed after that much time in the saddle!

Since no one has pointed this out yet.... STIHL on a HUSKY???

I originally bought a Husky T-handle saw. The loop I usually ride is 63 miles and I just couldn't find a safe / effective way to mount it on the bike.

I hated to exchange the Husky for the Stihl but the Trail Tec saw mount is specifically designed to fit Stihl models 192 and 193. The saw and the mount work perfectly and I've been able to do a lot of work cleaning up storm damage from the last couple of years.

Stihl makes a great saw! I have an old 009L that was my dad's- great little saw. I find my bigger one sits, and unless they are large diameter trees, I reach for the little 009L. Those MS192 & 193's look sweet.

So do you experience the Doppler effect when the WR is idling and the Stihl is singing while slicing the trees. :0)

lol, if i had a different brand of saw in my garage i think my swede would fall on it...haha, kidding of course...kinda..

poor old thing...it has cut its share.

Just got my forks tuned at ZipTy. Ready for some more get acquainted time before next race season.

Put a couple of hours on a fresh 165 top end. Man I forgot how much grunt/bottom end these motors have as opposed to the 125! Some gnarly hills n rocks today that would have had me floundering on the 125 the 165 ate up. Nearly looped out trying to do monos too :)

Found mine a stablemate.... Well , actually it's a threesome now. 2010 wr125, street legal :)
Came with new top end, rad guards, pipe guard, skid plate and hand guards, new linkage bearings, wheel bearings, new fork seals, fork bleeders, fork skins, newly laced rear wheel all for 2 k CAD.

Installed my warp 9 elites today on my 06 Cr125 without a hassle! I know... the bike is a bit dirty, will be washed soon for full picture!

Bought a FMF Pipe for 190$, Vertex Piston for 18€ and the RM Needle for my 125, just need the time to put all parts on the bike.IMG_20151008_202535.jpg
Edit: Had some time to get the Fmf pipe on the bike.
