  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TXC310R it gets no better. Zip Ty Racing spa treatment.

Pro Class
picked up TXC310R from the ZipTy Racing shop. Rebuilt from oil pump issue. Suspension ZipTy tuned for me heavier springs front and rear. FMF pipe installed (with the dB-S/A cap installed). This bike is much improved and completely raises my bar even higher with its post ZTR treatment. As usual and expected from a ZTR tuned bike the harder and faster I ride it the better it works. Hard HSCD hits on embedded rocks Zero deflection. rode a@140 miles in baja with lots of road stuff for good break in, today rode @ 50 miles of a big mix of everything bike is so easy to ride at race pace. Very happy.

they are pretty awesome bikes - i had my suspension redone by a local shop to make it more plush (a bit to MX for me) and after the changes for springs (i'm a fatty) and valving this is one of the best bikes i've ever been on. great machines, shame they will not be developed further

I agree, best bike I have ever owned.

If another company was smart, they should copy frame/engine before it goes by by.

Hey Robert when you had your suspension done you didn't get new zip ty decals for the forks did you? I had mine done and they only had marzochi stickers at the time so I had my own kyb decals made up. If you'd like I can send you the link to get a set just like mine.

Rode a 2013 TXC310 for a good bit last weekend and am in love. Ride my ZipTy redone (suspension and ECU map) TE51 all the time, it rules and their work was exactly like I asked for. ECU remap makes the bike run way harder / better, suspension service makes it handle that new speed amazingly well. Very nice work from those dudes over there (ZipTy) and highly recommended.

My KYB forks say mazzochi on them as well, don't care :D

I have CF fork covers with KYB stickers on them. Danny sent me out some ZipTy stickers to bling out with adverts, thanks.

13/14 TXC310R is in stock form the best hare scramble enduro bike for me period,.....after some tuning/set-up it's just freaking phenomenal! About the only complaint is the proximity of fuel pump access plate to the water pump output,....eats hoses like crazy but I don't feel like toting a 3gal aftermarket tank. Strongly considering dunking that lobe in a large boiling vat and re-shaping it,...but it's a gamble.

Other then that I can't see making it any better short of dropping 5-10lbs with exotic Ti fasteners and true works treatment.

You can shim the front tank mount. The TXC I believe has phillips head screws, and while lower profile than the TE's hex heads, both can be replaced with a 3mm button allen head. 1/2 ID hardened washers or Zip Ty's 5mm spacers will get you some spacing. I am contemplating grinding the top of the water pump to offer better clearance for the left side petcock fule line barb.

You can, and some only need a little bit however the tank/frame combo on my bike means I need at least 7mm of shim and this means none of the plastic lines up and I still make impact with the silicone hose (which is thicker then stock) on a good fall over. I've had my hands on about 15ish 310R's and they all fit different. The TE310R's actually have threaded bosses in the tanks where at the TXC's use carpenter screws (talk about cutting corners).

I even took the offending hex wood screw out and installed a counter sunk carpenter screw to get the most clearance possible,.....I'm still replacing radiator hoses and the silicone kits only come in kits and ain't cheap****************************************

I use anti seize liberally on all my attaching screws (the silvery stuff I think its permatex brand), its the best way to keep things working, also no need to torque the crap out of plastics mounting screws or any hardware for that matter.

Hey all ZipTy Racing has smooth edged alloy (washer like) Fuel Tank spacers that add @ 8mm space for clearance.I attached them (3) over all the posts then glued the rubber washers on top. This got the entire deal clear of all chafes.
