• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Trials Bike thread.

Mini 6 is what is stamped on the flywheel, I already sent it to the US guy he was very helpful and even did some stator assy. diode digging and replacement with no joy. So off to the UK it went.
they will get it done...there are a few people in the states and europe that can repair the 'plats. is yours a "mini 4"?

Just got news from Steve at Bradford Ignitions (Cornwall UK) Coil is fine Stator is the problem, work is commencing to fix it. very stoked to hear this. shoot now I need to finish all the other bits on the Beta so I can throw on the ignition and get out and ride!!!

Well i dunno i must of got geeen eyes so i bought myself a gasgas txt pro 300 2007 off my brother inlaw, used to be owned by juan knight! For all that dont know hes david knights brother an ex world enduro champ n trials champ too i think.image.jpeg
First thing that struck me is how capable these things are and if you see a massive rocksection dont go around go through these things shine!
Am hooked, feel sorry for the husky its been a month since i rode her im a bad boyfriend :)

I love trials........first bike I bought at age 13 was a 1974 Suzuki RL 250. And since have had an 72 Ossa 250 MAR, 74 Montesa Cota 250,
75 Bultaco Sherpa T and just sold my 86 Yamaha TY350.

Here's a bucket list moment from a few years back...........spent 4 days riding Moab with a few trials bikes and various dirt bikes.
2009 Gas Gas TXT 280 Pro going up the back side of Hell's Gate. Was an absolute blast riding the Hell's Revenge area on trials bikes.

How you liking the 280 heard its more of a firey ride than my 300.
Still took fww of my 300txt and introduced it to slow action throttle this didnt calm it down just made it more controlled an thats what trials is about.
Still have to teach myself to slowdown i attempt everything to fast.

The 280 was very smooth and predictable. There were so many rocky ledges and solid rock inclines to play on
in Moab, and the 280 always had plenty of power and grip. Was attempting some crazy stuff on a routine basis
those few days, whether on the trials bikes or the dirt bikes. Kane Creek Canyon was awesome too.
The whole area is a dirt/trials bike paradise!:)

finally got my 92 Beta zero up at em all is very well except the brakes....I need to do brake work. weak front and zero rear front is fine will install new pads and give a good bleed with fresh fluid rear may need more. But again the motor is solid and gearbox feel good too.

I had my '85 Fantic 300 out and did a trials school for our local air cooled series. Doing 2 hours of trials drill work and then 2 hours in sections repeat riding, makes you appreciate hydraulic brakes and clutch. :oldman:
