If you're gong to use sealant don't use any of that stuff that you get at the auto parts store it has to many solids in it that will settle into the low areas of you're cooling jackets. Instead go the local pharmacy and pic up a pint of sodium silicate. to use it you want the cooling system flushed of all coolant then get the engine hot with a minimal amount of water in it. After the engine is up to temp add the pint of Sodium silcate put the radiator cap back on and ride the bike for a while to get everything circulating. As soon as get back and with the engine still hot drain the cooling system (get as much out as possible) and let it sit overnight (or longer if possible). the solution will have found it's way into all the pores and as it cures it will seal everything and put a protective coating on all the surfaces. No matter what sealant you use their is a possiblity of ruining the seal in the water pump but my way is a little less intrusive and has a better chance of succes with less possible side effects.
