• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE 449 Exhaust System

Husqvarna
C Class
I recently bought a 2014 TE 449. I am looking to upgrade the exhaust system. I don't want to pay $1500 for the Akrapovik system, but I found a TC 449 FMF power bomb header. I don't imagine a lot of difference in the engine position and exhaust routing between the TE and TC. I can't tell a difference from looking. Does anyone have any experience in doing this modification? Thanks

The Power Bomb header will not fit with a Powercore 4 Slip on

The Power Bomb header will fit with a FMF Q4 and Factory 4.1 exhaust.

You will need the kit below. You can order this at Halls. The springs you can get a lot cheaper at Moose racing. They should be 57mm springs. You will need 3. 2 for the exhaust port and 1 for the mid pipe to the header. Get some high temp silicone to seal the fittings.

These parts are for a TC449 but will fit a TE449/TE511

8000h5995 Gasket
8000h5992 Flange
8000h5994 Sleeve
y00043928 lock nut
8000h5393 spring (oem about $15.00 each)

Moose 57mm Exhaust Springs - M7714 $13.95 for 2

Good Info. My next stupid question is what do you do with the O2 sensor will the ECU work properly if that sensor is removed and just not plugged in?

When you have the map plug in and you are in map mode B (RacemapII), the O2 sensor is disengaged. So it doesn't matter if it is plugged in or not.

I have seen your bike and your posts. Is this something you have done or are doing with your 511? Have you done anything more since the oil reservoir and suspension? How do you like the signal lights you put on? I am trying to decide between flush mounts or tuff lites for the back.

Since the Oil Recirculation Kit install my next project is adding the TC449 conversion kit
Megabomb Header(TC449) and FMF Q4 Slip on (TC449). The slip on, header and conversion kit will fit on a TE511.

I will post my exhaust upgrade as soon as I get my Q4 slip on...(I have the Megabomb already and have added the conversion kit above and installed...fits great)

Signal lites work great. No issues. Flush mount is the way to go.

NOTE I purchased the Powercore 4 and it fits fine with the stock header, but will not fit with the Megabomb header.

I have purchased the 57mm springs to fit my megabomb to my 511 smr with gasket, flange and sleeve but the springs look too short? it also looks like one needs to be longer than the other from the header to reach the little spring bracket. Do i just need to stretch the hell out of them? Thanks.
