• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE 250 cuts out as you come to a stop

Husqvarna
Hello all,

I have had my Husqvarna TE 250 for 18 months, it was registered at the end of 2009 but is the 2010 X Lite model.

Overall it has been a very good bike however it has recently developed an issue as follows:

The bike will start and idle just fine
When riding the bike it pulls smoothly and runs well
When I come to a stop coming down through the gears, just at the point where you pull in the clutch to put your foot down the bike will make a quite squeak and will cut out. It is then fairly hard to start from the starter, usually I have to put it into neutral and kick it over.

It was suggested that it may be the starter clutch so I have had this replaced with no success, the bike has had an oil and filter change and the air filter has been cleaned and oiled.

Any suggestions including where I can get my hands on diagnostic software are appreciated.

Thank you

Is it the fuel pump cutting out on you, they become dislodged in there holder and need to be zip tied into place. Mine was doing this on down hills. Just a suggestion, keep us posted

Good morning all,

So I have finally had a chance to dig the bike out to find out what is going on. I have noticed that there is an error message when I turn the key (it flashes on and off so quickly I have never noticed it before).

The code is: E41E

Does anyone know what that code is or where I can buy a diagnostic tool?

Thanks again - Scott

Hello all,

thank you for the advice. It turns out it was the injector after all, I removed it and gave it a good clean and the bike now runs without any issues!

Thanks again
