As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
I have anodized several sets of wheels and 250$ a set is a fair price. When I go through the work of making the rims black though, I powder coat the hubs, then clean up and polish the centers on the lathe:
I like black rims too.
Nice tyre, D606? Are your rims painted or anodised?
Actually got them tonight. They are okay, im not super impressed. Will see what they look like mounted up. Ill try and get a pic sometime this weekend.
I get it man, piss poor service can kill it even when you get the finished product. I too think they turned out great though. So whats next on the list for your bike?Idk as far as the anodizing goes it looks good by all means, it was everything else that was bad.
Sounds great. Even though the 2012's are considered dinosaurs now lol, I really can't imagine a better bike. I loved my time on the 12 310 and would pick one up in a heartbeat
Sorry I was just thinking of all of the "should I get a 12 or 13" threads lol. With the savings you got I'm really interested to see how it will compare to a 13. Hurry up and sell that YZOuch...I've never heard someone call them Dinosaurs. Just because they have a more basic engine than the '13 doesn't mean it's a dinosaur.
