I AM SAD THAT I HAD TO FIND THIS WEB COMMUNITY WHEN I HAVE A PROBLEM. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO BE THE GUY THAT COULD SAY. I HAVE BEEN RIDING FOR YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS.
INSTEAD I HAVE HAD 1000 MILES OF CARE FREE SUPERMOTO FUN.
SITUATION I HAVE:
SO. I RODE FROM SEALEVEL UP TO ABOUT 3000 FT UP HALAAKALA, MAUI. ( IRRELEVANT TO THE SITUATION I THINK)
WHEN I GOT UP THERE AND CAME TO A STOP. BEFORE I KILLED THE ENGINE. ( I USUALLY KILL IT WITH THE BUTTON BEFORE I TURN THE KEY OFF, LIKE THE MANUAL SAID) I HEARD AN EXTRA BIT OF NOISE.
THOUGHT LITTLE OF IT AND TALKED A WHILE THEN DECIDED TO LEAVE. WHEN I STARTED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY THE BIKE SUDDENLY TURNED OFF, I LOOKED AT MY DASH AND THE BIKE STARTED ITSELF UP AGAIN! DANGEROUS DRIVEWAY WITH NOWHEAR TO STOP SO I KEPT GOING. I WENT DOWN TO A SAFE PLACE TO PULL OUT AND THE BIKE WAS RUNNING A BIT ROUGH.

I KILLED THE ENGINE WITH THE KILL BUTTON, WHEN I RELEASED THE KILL SWITCH THE BIKE STARTED ITSELF UP AGAIN.
I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHEAR SO I DECIDED TO BEE LINE HOME. MORE ROUGH RUNNING AND SEEMED LIKE A LITTLE EXTRA NOISE. I CAME TO A RED LIGHT AND IT FELT LIKE THE STARTER WAS TRYING TO KICK OVER. I WAS CLOSE TO HOME SO I KEPT GOING.
I GOT HOME. CAME TO A PROPER STOP, TURNED BIKE OFF. I WENT THROUGH THE START AND STOP WITH THE KILL BUTTON TO SEE IF IT WAS ACTING WEIRD AND IT DIDNT DO THE START ITSELF THING WHEN I RELEASED THE KILL SWITCH.
CONCLUSION: I HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN THE KEY ON BEFORE. I GO TO CHECK OUT THE BIKE LATER AND IS ACTING LIKE A DEAD BATTERY.
THIS MORNING I GET A GOOD QUALITY BATTERY CHARGER AND THE BATTERY WASNT COMPLETLY CHARGED AFTER 5 HOURS.
I PUT IT IN AND THE DASH STARTS UP BUT I DO NOT HEAR THE EFI PUMP PRIME AND BIKE IS RESPONDING LIKE THE KILL SWITCH IS ON.
