What I would do, knowing everything I know and have seen the dyno work at Dynojet, is to do 2 or 3 hundred miles to be sure the bike is ok and there are no warranty issues, put on the power up kit and leave the stock exhausts.
But I'm not an SM person, and I am cheap.

Regarding the spark arrestor, I would verify that a 'wooden stick' can only go in so far, the is the test the authorities use here.
Obviously anyone could do anything they wanted, such as aftermarket exhausts, I don't know what is available.
