So I called up FMF today looking to buy a new Q4 silencer slip-on for my TE511. I spoke with two different people who basically handed me off to a third. FMF staff told me that they never made a Q4 silencer for the TE/TXC 449/511 and has no future plans of doing so.
So I explained that Chilly has a Q4 silencer on his 2012 TE511 accessories review.
FMF responded saying, “We custom make setups for the racing community and such is the case for what we did for Chilly.”
Can I order a custom FMF Q4?
FMF: “You must order 25 units to get one customized…”
Did Chilly order 25 units to get one customized?
FMF: No Answer.

FMF Power Bomb Header & Q4 Silencer- $675
This system fits great. The increase in power and throttle response is very obvious. There is almost six pounds of weight savings over the stock system also. For general off road use, I can give this a whole-hearted recommendation. I find it just a little too loud for street use. It is louder than the older versions of the Q4 that I have on my own dual sport bike. For example, Neena commented that she can hear me coming up the street on this bike, but she had never noticed it with other bikes. As for other choices, the Akrapovic is perhaps the most common other exhaust for these Husky’s. They are a nice unit, but I have heard some horror stories about owners trying to get replacement parts for them. http://www.enduro360.com/2012/04/05/uncharacterised-posts/2012-husqvarna-te511-test-page-2/
