    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Skidplate for 2011 te 310

Trying to figure out my options for a skidplate for my 2011 TE 310. Are there any that are durable and use stock mounting points? I really like the Hyde Racing one but seems there are issues with mounting it on the 11 310 due to the breather hose. Broke the stock plastic one in first race (cracked.)
 
I'm not sure George has the skid plate for the 2011 TE 310 but just call and he can tell you. 714 540-2920. I'm waiting for him to get the 2012 model done.
 
I use the Mecca skid plate, has taken some beating and nothing broken yet. Easy to remove for oil changes too. Not cheap but then a new engine casing costs a lot more!
 
got a mecca skid plate on my 449-- top class product.
how do you gents find the 310? can you list +ve/-ve aspects please .seriously thinking of getting TE or TXC next week
 
I've had mine about a month (TE 310 2011.) Have an enduro and a Hare scramble with it. Handleing/suspension Great! Light handleing easy to manuver grabs traction loves to accelerate. There is a spot just up from idle around 3000/3500 rpm where it runs a bit rough, but will probly eventually get the txc ecu and injector (supposed to cure issues.) This issue may not appy to you as it has to do with emissions when street legal bikes are brought to U.S. There is a lot of power there IMHO and I came off a ktm 300 and 450.
The Mecca Plate looks great but by the time I get it here between time and money probly not worth it unless someone in U.S. is importing them and has them onhand.
 
Found U.S. distributer for the Mecca $265 with shipping, bit steep. Called George had good conversation, great knowledge about the 310 he is expecting to send out my plate end of this week!

Still surging or did you now find hesitation/bog?
 
I am pretty sure that he does but you would have to call and leave a message to find out. George is very old school but his work is great!

I have the husky one from the special parts book fits easy very strong and good coverage I paid about $250 AUD for it. I have given it a good work out over the last year with no problems.
