• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Serco

If the enduro is anything like the trials bike then yes gg are quality, although i will never understand why they decided main bearings should be lubed by the gear box.
Starts within 3 kicks every time hot or cold clutch in or out.
arent alot of bikes like this on one side of the crank?

New sherco a look pretty sweet I reckon! I'd have one but they bit porky(2ts) n no kicker still bothers me. Sexy lookin tho. I need to win lotto then I'd jus buy one of every bike!

My personal findings on the weight of the 2T. I did not like the front tire and swapped it for a Pirelli. The Pirelli was 2 lbs. lighter. The bike is equipped with a lead battery which weighs 4lbs. Most LI batteries are not much more than a pound. So there is significant weight savings with little to no effort.

I switched from a Gasser EC300 to a Sherco, the weight difference is huge. I just could not ride the Gasser fast or for long in the woods without becoming tired. I can ride the Sherco all day without getting tired.

My 2016 Sherco 300 SER weighs 247lbs with EE skid plate, rad braces, hand guards, Mousse inserts and about 1/3 tank of gas. The Sherco is a well built and very reliable bike. The Sherco 2 stroke is probably 5-6lbs heavier than it needs to be but not 20lbs overweight like a GG.

The weight doesn't matter too much depending on how the bike carries it, i mean if it's all up top then your going to notice it far more in corners and lifting thing up.
But low down shouldn't be too bad.

Can't you lose 3 lbs or so going to a lithium battery?
