• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

does anyone here ride a Serco
if you do your thoughts please
a local shop is looking at becoming a dealer, the bikes look good and the engineering seems sound but in a small brand problems can be an issue you would not normally hear about

I rode the 300 2 and 4 stroke... really liked it but only draw back is a small brand and support could be iffy at times....

Here in UK they are a rival to gas gas in the trials world. That is sherco.
Serco sounds like a Chinese rip off.
Sherco are a very good reliable, reputable brand and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of the price if right as brucy used to say.

you mean like finding parts for my 93 360, that has never really bothered me as I always prepare ahead of time when possible
but I do understand your point that support for parts and upgrades could be slim

Yes, I bought a Sherco 250 SE-R about a year ago. I posted a review in this forum. Went riding yesterday. I am loving the bike. No problems to report. Parts are readily available. The electric start makes life on the trails sooooo much easier!

I also have a 250 SE-R, got it dialed in and is the best bike I have ridden. Easy to work on and parts readily available!

Go get one.

You guys may not have a problem but both of my buddies had "used" parts sent to them by Clay while waiting on new stuff.... also 17' shroud is 2 piece like Italian huskys...

are you saying this as a negative or a positive??
if the dealer loans spares as stated above, that would be a nice gesture

I agree.... been there with older huskys.... I don't wanna wait... lol

But on the other hand.... It was a awesome bike.... both 300s

thanks for the reply
there will probably be a local dealer,,,, as in my town
so VERRRRY tempting

That will be interesting as there are no Cali dealers that I know of. Might need to skip over and take a look once he gets established.

Supposedly they are meticulously designed and built, with the rider in mind. However I think I would lean towards a GasGas, despite their financial problems, because the GasGas motor is supposed to be a thing of beauty, and they apparently handle great.

If the enduro is anything like the trials bike then yes gg are quality, although i will never understand why they decided main bearings should be lubed by the gear box.
Starts within 3 kicks every time hot or cold clutch in or out.

From what I have heard and scene the Gas Gas enduro bikes are pretty heavy and outdated. They also have the crappy side mount starter like KTM. The state of the art starter is what steered me to Sherco and Beta and I really think the Sherco has a slicker more trouble free package.
