How is the best way to drain all the coolant to prepare it for the XF+ ?

Drain as much as you can, use an air compressor. A tiny % of water won't harm the system and it will boil out eventually. Remember to drain the overflow if you have one. Fill about 1/2 inch above the top of the coils and the overflow. Run til hot. After it has cooled down, recheck the level in case air pockets were filled. You might overflow a little XF just from expansion.

5000 miles, wow, you won't have coolant issues. I have seen a beer can zip tied to replace a radiator cap with XF and still run perfectly.

Had bit of a delay getting my radiator to the shop. It was essentially junk. Bringing the bike in for the construction of a welded aluminum radiator tomorrow. Looking forward to riding again, especially since the weather is so nice right now! Betting it will take a couple of weeks, but Ill have gotten rid if that plastic pile for not much more than buying a stock one. My crash bars should be here soon as well, so the cooling system should be set for long rides out in the desert!

I'd have yours repaired if possible. You can run my coolant which is waterless, it won't corrode like normal coolant and only operates at 1-2psi. Should get longer life out of your cooling system.

I wonder if this is the Evans waterless power sports relabeled.....if so you can get gallon jugs at amazon

XF is blended thinner than Evans. We are the west coast distributor for Evans coolant. Most of our customers wouldn't consider buying a gallon.

I have 9 bikes and will need a lot....thinking about volume and freight cost....do you have gallon jugs and how much does a typical bike take ? I have never paid any attention to how much I put in. I will have to look at the service manuals to see how much I will need.

I ended up having aluminum side tanks fabricated and welded onto the stock core. I made a new thread after this one it is called the real radiator fix.

I would say rooted....
I've got the new one in, the crash bars on and dealing with the peeled sheath on the clutch cable syndrome.
Fill & burp then probably off to a dealer to read the MIL code & get mossed

Pete I won't be throwing much away from this bike, who knows what we'll be able to get as spares in the future.
So sorry mate, I'll be keeping it for the side tanks, thermostat & brackets, just in case.....
