You got most of the old coolant out by taking off the old hose/thermostat and draining both radiators. The correct/best practice answer is to use Evan Coolant flush and flush the whole system again with it. This product was made for the specific propose.
Less expensive route; is use the XF coolant to flush it out. Our bike uses half the bottle of coolant to fill up. Use 1/4 of the bottle to fill the system 1/2 way up and then run the bike for a little while to get the new coolant to circulate into the system. Drain the system and discard the used coolant. This will take out the rest of the water in the system. Now fill up the bike with the remainder of the XF coolant.
Is there a coolant drain screw on a 2012 TE310 that would drain the block or? My PDF shop manual that I purchased from Halls last year has a bug in it and won't open properly. Still trying to figure the PDF issue out so I can't reference the manual ATM... It worked fine the last time I tried the PDF but now it has corrupt files.
