Husqvarna
Pro Class
Sunday, October the 9th at Power Line Park just outside of St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Weather wise...both the week leading up to, and the weekend itself, turned out to be great.
Full delegation to help cheer him on...mom, both grandmothers, 2 aunts and his brother, what a team!
Power Line is one of Andy's favorite tracks; got his first GNCC win there. They had about a 9 mile loop…2 hours/4 laps for him. The track is fairly fast with some tricky uphill sections and some treacherous mud holes.
19 bikes on the 200 C 16+ line in the morning race; starting way in the back of the field again.
Again, Andy had the only Husky…I love it...they know Andy by now and have to be thinking...
Good starting grid; a dry grass field. He had a really good start this round…2nd place as they headed out.
32 minutes later…came thru in 2nd…down by 16 seconds. There was a spot to see them go by about 2 minutes before the scoring/pit area. He had his front number plate swinging from the brake line again. Got the chance to grab some cutters and stop him just long enough to cut the guide and pull the plate.
So...the 'no number plate look', again.
Trademark shirt tail flying in the wind!
2nd lap thru he had the lead by 2 1/2 minutes; which he extended to over 4 minutes by the third lap and finished with a 4 1/2 minute lead.
Standing up, knees in, elbows out, looking up the trail...good form...got no idea where he got that from.
Andy finished strong…1st in class and 28th overall out of 321 bikes. He mentioned that the passing opportunities were limited, but it was the same for all.

The points race has been tight...he needs to win out the last 3 races to lock it up.

The lines in the mud holes had major changes between laps…his older brother hung out by the big mud hole all day, good thing he did. The chosen line on the last lap sucked Andy in to a stop. Mitch and some other mud fleas jumped in, ''extracted'' him and sent him on his way. What are big brothers for…
After repairing the carnage from Mountain Ridge two weeks ago the bike ran great.
Last week Wally called it a chainsaw. This week...apparently it's a Weedeater.
