• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Packing up. Gonna go to Bill's in Salem. We'll see if I can find my way there without stumbling into the wilderness area. I'll just tool around for a week, then return for the ride.

Tell Bill the Cafe Husky guys sent you.... he will take care of you. The road from the top of the pass through Sweet Home is more fun than going straight to Salem by the way ... first take the Eugene split, then the Sweet Home/Lebanon split ....

The other thing I was thinking was heading up to you and riding back down with you but I didn't know if you were riding down or not. I still have the (424) 241-**** number for you is that still your number? Are you riding down or trucking it with someone?

I dunno. The Bike has been running like crap since my OBCDR trip. Yesterday I changed the oil, found a tiny speck of steel, and the bike started REALLY running like crap.

It seems like something off with the throttle position sensor or the ecu. I REALLY dunno what the steel was though. Took both sides off, both bag filters looked good, and the oil filter had a TINY bit of sludge but nothing major in it. :excuseme: So it went to taskey's yesterday.

I have a 'maybe' for a ride down to the event. I'm still trying to find someone with some space from Seattle. PM'd you the new #

ALSO: Bill's not going to be there til Sunday, so I was planning on getting a OHV tag from him. Anyone else doing the same might wanna call em and have it mailed.

Xymotic,

Bet you could borrow a bike if you really want to go. I happen to know where a te510 is just sitting lonely in a garage:)

Hey no way! He's gonna be busy setting up my preload and whatnot.
You dont want it too smooth. Those fine China Hat whoops might be just the thing to shake loose whatever is causing your 610 to run bad
