  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

when you make the comparsion with decal works they look cheap.i check the website of his graphics and they are bloody expensive and dont even have a number.

he is on Australia, everything is 1.5 x what we pay here. To ship decalworks to australia it would be a wash. And maybe he wants to support local biz. I think they will look nice and clean. also once you jump through all the hoops and add on the decalworks stuff is not cheap but the quality is very good which is why I went with them.

I have been holding back from saying anything until now. Thanks Kelly for the kind words. Yes the graphics are plain and simple and that's all I wanted. In fact the tank shrouds are actually a colour reversal of the 13 graphics. I'm not a big fan of in your face graphics. I do as a matter of fact work for Honda here in Oz and we do a far amount of business with Ringmaster Images, Craig and the crew are great to deal with. Yes they are going to be a fair bit more expensive than any US based supplier, but they are local to us and I like to deal local where I can.

It is common courtesy not to dis a guys rig. There are several reasons people dont have the best of everything. If you are fortunate enough to have nicer things than the next guy then good for you. He may have far richer things in life that go beyond material things, like a woman that you could only dream about.

its not bad to said my opinion, or everybody here only wanna post good things.not everybody do things right.
 
Still think they are going to look nice on the bike. Clean and simple can look very nice in this world of over the top crap.
