    WR = 2st Enduro & CR = 2st Cross

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Please post pictures of your 2 stroke bikes.

The earlier generation plastic (like my 04) sure carries the gas a LOT lower. The tank on mine nearly touches the pipe.

Here are few shots of both my bike and my sons.Sure is nice when you can line up next to your kid at a race. There are not many sports out there that you can do that. But you will notice by one of the pictures the kid is so much faster then i am ,making a roost as he go up the hill

Yeah, that may be true, but I don't see a national #1 plate on his bike:p

Excellent photos!

A few years ago he was # 2 in Dist 37 open and got # 4 National .But for the last 2 years he has been working on a fireman paramedic program .He does not get much time to ride his 510 and on a wim he tried my 2006 CR 125 .He was so impressed he said i think i will try a few races.Well after 2 rounds of the AMA Nationals he is in the lead .
We do not know if we will do all the Nationals will have to see how it goes .That would be great it a Husky won the regular 125 expert class for 2009

John,
You and your son are the Husky 125 poster children!

If you think i get carried away on this board you have to see me at the races.Remember i am a used car sale man all week so guest what i try to sell at the races YES the Husky 125
I just am having so much fun with the 125 and also love beating the bigger bikes I keep telling everyone why would anyone other then a top pro want to race a big heavy expensive 4 stroke in the desert.
Just last weeken at the Dist 37 Checkers Hare and Hound we started by class .There were like 7 250 in my class and at the end of the 2 plus mile bomp run and for the next 15 miles i lead all of them.I finally got passes and finished 3 rd.After the race one of the guys said what the heck you got done to your motor to which i said 1 it is stock and 2 even if i did do some thing it would still not be a 250. We both laughed
and said this sure is fun

John can't wait to see you at the round 3 event!! Will Matt make that one as well? The Ajax Auto team is now committed!! You guys have to do the whole series!!! Your fan club is growing!!! Rob

Hey Troy: Is that a stock husky rear fender extender/tailight?, it is it specific to 09'?, that looks like it would help keep the roost off my back on my 08'cr125.

Even though they(husky) show the 09 WR125 with this mudflap unit....it surprisingly does not come stock..instead you get the top fender mount old style Acerbis unit.....

My Dealer had the presence of mind to supply the better fender extender one....its does a great job...plus its LED so the current draw is next to nothing

I would hazard to guess its the UFO brand.....????? I'm sure someone on here knows for sure

Check out www.photosbygrumpy.com He got 3 really good shots of my 125 at the
AMA National Hare and Hound race this weeken .Just put in my # N1m and they will pop up.Then check out all the other racers if you like
