• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics of your 610!

Hey, Mr. Unpronouncable Todd! Do you have a higher res version of that 2nd photo with the clouds and such? If so, send it to me in a PM or just post it here and I might grab it for the splash page!

Thanks!

Thanks. That's my fave also. Funny thing is, I blew right past that spot and thought to myself "That would be a good photo". Since I was leading the group, I turned around and went back. I was already around the left-hand curve that's in the first pic when I turned around.

Indiana Woods - 610

I wish I had some of those wide open spaces I see in all the great photos, but here in Indiana it's either flat corn fields, or deep woods. Just keep the momentum and pin it! The new Motoz tires are great trench diggers. Photo was taken today by my daughter who shares my addiction.

Get that girl to modeling agent, stat.
Haha, she does seem to gather more of a crowd when we ride than I do for some reason? You would think a middle aged balding guy with a BIG bike could get some respect.

Good looking 610 man, what year?. And is that rear tire a Trailborg? Damn things look like saw blades. :D

Thanks.
It's an 06 model.

The rear is a Terra Flex. After riding it, I know why they are called TerrorFlex. Great tire off-road, but terrible in the twisties. It was on the bike when I bought it, but I will never buy one to go back on after riding this one.

I've been contemplating buying a Terra Flex for a long time but was
worried it might be too wide for single track. It does look pretty
bad assed. Aside from it's poor street performance is it really that good
on the trail ?

I've only had the bike for about 2 1/2 months and have had some health issues that have kept me from really putting it through the paces. Haven't had it in any real mud to see how it handles that, but in the softer terrain it does great. On loose gravel it tends to skate around a bit, but that is probably because I refuse to air down. All in all, I prefer the MT21 rear for my style of riding, I've had good wear with them on my other bike and know it's handling characteristics.

TE610IE 2009 SM Conversion

I apologise for the cramped shed photo's here, but I thought I would throw a couple up whilst I thought of it. Pictures are taken in my very untidy shed, however you get a bit of an idea. This is my 2009 TE610IE in motard form. I have a full titianium Leo Vince X3 system on order and will post pics when I get it installed. I will post some better pics next time it is out of the shed (and I remember). I swap the wheels out when I go dirt riding and swap back to motard for street work. This site has been really helpful to me and so too have the memebrs. Love the bike.
