Pro Class
Cody ran his first ever MX on the TC 250 today. We opted to run an unlimited class to see how the TC would hold up against a variety of bikes. The kid really nailed it!
In the practice heat he finished 3rd in a pack of 24 (16 in his class and 8 in the +40 class). In the first moto he was 2nd out of the hole in a group of 16 but got caught up and stopped by a crash involving 2 riders in front of him. Despite the loss of several postions and several seconds, he managed to work his way back from 15th to 8th in 2 laps!
The second moto he was yet again forced to go around a 3 bike pile-up out of the hole but managed to pass 4 riders in 4 laps and end the day at 4th overall out of 16. Awesome first race and a great tribute to this capable little Husky! Don't let ANYONE tell you this 250 motor is slow or non-competitive. I'm more convinced than ever that the press reports on this bike are being written by morons. And... as has always been the case when we race a Husky... there was a path beaten to our pit by MANY... just to look and ask questions.
Wake up in the USA Husky! Get some "A" and "B" riders on these bikes at regional events and on an occassional podium and the buyers will come... these bikes ARE competitive! The rag writers are jaded Jap-Zombies fueled by ad revenues.
