  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc One year anniversary for the 165!

Send yours in and you get back a 165 core exchange deal :applause:. I think you can have yours done but it will slow down the process of course.

edit:o: i would like to know... what the cost of the 165 kit is with a proper exhaust etc.
the total picture:thinking:

Kit is $680, modified 200 pipe is $275. Complete with all gaskets and everything you need to bolt it back on like stock.

What happens...

1. you send you cylinder, head and powervalves in as exchange. If you want yours back it will be 3-4 weeks. If we have spares done it is about a week.
2. The cylinder gets a bridge welded up to make it stronger and then gets bored, chamfered and plated. Lots of work.
3. the cylinder head gets bored to diameter, squishband rebuilt and surfaced
4. The powervalves get cut to match your cylinder better than the stock stuff ever did.
5. All gets sent back including new gaskets and whatever else is required to bolt it back on.

As for the pipe it starts out as an FMF for a KTM 200 and the head pipe gets modded to fit the husky as well as the back bracket.

This makes for one fantastic package, reliable and powerful. My favorite woods motor hands down.

thanks.
Kelly

Is There any body that weighs 200 plus pounds riding these tiddlers? Bought a 2012 cr 125 for my wife but like the way the bike feels so much I'm considering another for me.

My riding weight is ~245#'s and it pulls me up anything from 0-10,000' of elevation. I have had a 300# on mine and was amazed how well it ran with him on it.

lots. I weigh about 195 right now. Blake is bigger than me and it pulls him up the gnarly hills in an area here called Diamond Mill that separates the men from the boys. These bikes have amazing nearly unstoppable pulling power. I honestly think I can climb hills better on this bike than any bike i ahve owned. Something about the light weight and perfect power, not to much not to little, that just makes it an amazing hill climber. Read through the reviews here, people love them. Your wife might not get to ride hers much once you sample it. :>)

I'm 215 with gear and race a CR144 with great results. I truly do love this little bike, it will be difficult to convince me that I NEED a bigger bike.

I am around 215 with gear on and my wr144 has no problem putting a smile on my face!(yes I know the smile might be bigger with a 165!)

Thank Kelly that makes it clear to me..

i've got a 250 and i'm only 145 lbs !! thats why i want a light and agile 125 and eventually a 165!
