• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

NW Gathering Round 3 - November 7-11 2012

Comfort inn edge of town has it for 70$ 2 beds (riders discount) stayed there the first year.... Manager had some connection to motorcycles... don't quite remember....

Well, with a few people bailing, I'm making a last minute apperance. Just talked with Kelly a bit ago, and I'm going to be joining his group. Got the 165 prepped and ready for some easy riding. Got out this last weekend for my first ride back, and did around 40 easy miles as a shake-down ride.

err exsqueeeez me?
A moto lover co-worker posted this from my computer while I was in a meeting, I just deleted the comment  That's what I get for leaving my computer unlocked to tour!

You will enjoy the Red Lion, we usually stay there when we go to China hat. Don't forget your swim trunks, they have a really nice hot-tub that's out door and open year round, comes in handy after a long day of riding!

Gutted for Walt & WC. That sucks, but there's more to life than hanging in the dez with a bunch of nuts.

I got a room at the Holiday Inn Express for $65/night through the Entertainment Guide. I'll be leaving Portland Friday AM and should be out at China Hat sometime in the early afternoon.
I may be solo after my wife see's the weather forecast......

Hey, hey, hey! I never said I wasn't coming! I might not be worth a crap by the time I get there but I am going to try my damndest to be there! I am woefully unprepared and might need some assistance getting the bike situated for 4k elevation :( I will be camping, though...am I going to be in the forest all alone? I guess I could always park the Pleasure Palace outside Kelly's party pad and sleep there for free. You got a hot tub in that place, Kelly? :D

Ahahahahahaha That used to happen on my Navy ship all the time.. Leave your account open, and pretty soon All Hands would get an email about your sexual preference, in great detail, etc... That is, until the Captain got tired of seeing this, and put an abrubt halt on the random emails.

No problem, come on over to the party pad. :D
