• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

NW Fall Gathering?

Mr. Veiney,

I am sorry you hurt your "cat" part. I am sure there will be a pit bike you can ride around the fire. I can't lift my left arm without severe pain and moving it wide left or right is a serious issue. Doc says surgery. Fckit I am going riding and taking pain killers. I have a new bike to pick up and get a woody over. All are welcome to try it out before I turn it into an old fat man bike. Get your butt to Bend and lets have some fun!

Fat Bastard

I'm still on the fence I've augered my left shoulder now and if I came it would be last minute... Haven't even checked into Hotels...

Come on, we'll take it easy on you. Even if you stayed in camp, it would be a worth while trip of epic proportion. You know that you'll hate yourself if you don't. Besides their some people who would like to see ya again. I don't personalty don't who they are, but I've heard rumors. Gramps

Hey I'd like to crash this party if I may. Just bought a '05 Beta 525 RR (talk about a step child bike, worse then my '06 Husky!) and would love to wring it out a bit down there. Hoping to find some fork rebuild parts asap, if I can, I'd like to come down, if I can't find the parts, I may just cruise on down with just the 165.

Anyhoo, hoping to make it down and meet some of the crew. -Eddie

Brian is a good guy, I've bought some nice gear from him.

He knows the area really well, it would be a great ride.
Not like following some of these Husky yahoos around. ;-)

Gramps reports "a few small puddles at road 25, perfect trail conditions"
Woohoo!

The weather looks okay. The weather-guesser are calling for some rain Saturday/night; temps look reasonable, in the 50-60s.

I don't really drink Fireball... so I'm bringing bourbon (without the cinnamon)

I wish I could go. I have two friends that live in the area now, even. One rides dirt (not a Husky, though). Maybe I can make it next year, if I haven't sold the bike I never ride by then (not that I've been trying yet).
