• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Northwest Fall Gathering in Bend ?

Its all unofficial, and unorganized, and nobody is in charge...especially if you ask :-)

For those who dont know; SM113 is one of the prime guys who helps us keep our trails open in central Oregon. In fact I did a work party with him last month to help build out a staging area in the new Three Trails OHV area at the Junction of Hwy 97 and 58. He's an all around good guy and big supporter of OHV riding. He also drives one of those plain wrapper white trucks with a government logo on the side.

Thank him for all his good work, and maybe he will let us ride his new 350!!

It's never official and it still isn't, but a lot of us will be there between the 22nd and 27th of October :)

You should come out and ride with us whether you have your new Husky by then or not :)
 
I wanted to make it this year, but I'll only just be back from a 3 week trip to VA and back. I'm flying out there, visiting my nephew and family for several days, buying a new Ducati Multistrada and riding it back. Unfortunately, since it's fall, I have to detour along the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tail of the Dragon, Ozarks and Route 66. But somehow, I'll soldier through...

You guys have fun! Maybe there should be a spring version?

Hey the pine cones were your idea! They did keep the rocks from beating up the rim though haha

Gonna try not to oil the road this time, but it is a Ford...At least they circled the problem.

Cool, mebbe I can make that one. It's ~600-700 miles away, but it'd be nice to make them once in a while. Let my Husky sit around after a ride with other bikes of its kind. They could chat about how we are all unworthy to ride them because they're such awesome bikes. ;)
 
I'll be there at some point Wednesday afternoon, Gramps and a buddy will be there late Wednesday, I think the four of us (including Steve and Chad) are the "advance team?" Steve, are Mrs. Chad and kiddo coming again this year?
