  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New husky 511 smr owner

Hiya Ash
cheers for the reply. £975 seems good for an AKRO but still more than i can justify for a pipe. Ive found an Arrow can for £250 no front pipe just rear section. Not as pretty as the AKRO but more in my price range. Ill probably buy one next week ill post some pics.
Did get my bike from a shop they were giving up there dealership it was a display bike only riden buy the shop owner had about 130 miles on the clock.

No problem, is the arrow actually for the 511? only asking because when i brought my bike in june/july only pipe i could find was the akrapovic one , did see some one had fabricated an fmf though. look forward to seeing the pics :) did you get the warranty with the bike by the way?

Heres the part no for the pipe 72616AK just google it. Think theve only been doing them for a few weeks. Ive got about 16 mths warranty left on the bike not sure if an arrow can would void it. I looked at a 510
before i brought this on. It had an arrow can on it and it had Husqvarna stamped on it so they might be OK. Best keep the stock pipe case i have any probs!

Looks nice, liking that carbon tip :) should be a good investment, i also was looking at the 510 before i got mine, they are probably one of the, if not the sexiest supermoto's and on the warranty side of things contact a dealer and just find out to play safe.

alright ash, ner I've just got the normal system. If i didn't get it with the bike though i'd have gone for this arrow, but it wasn't available when i got mine. How many miles have you got on yours now?

Oh right i see i did get offered it but the dealer said the normal one is a bit better for the road or something like that, and same looks a lot cheaper as well lol, and i believe I've just gone over the 1000 mark, what about you?

Local husky dealer has the full akro titanium system for $1050 AUD! We've had a massive drop lately on all Akro systems for all makes, mate picked up a full system for his CRF for $750 AUD

I did have yer, just cleaned it out last night, quite a lot actually
thought so, from the factory the bikes come overfilled with oil, 1100ml as i got told by my dealer, you really want to drain the oil and re-fill with 900ml, you may get a little over flow by a few ml, i done it and it was fine, need to make a catch tank of some sort really.

Thats the ebay price. Paypal and ebay take best part of 10%. Dont pay full price make him an offer!

Stopped by this morning. He said he could do it for $1k fitted, along with a few other things. Just need to find some more coins down the back of the couch. So tempting...

The neighbours will not be pleased if I do :p

im sure my neighbours curse the name of akrapovic every day I work late and come home at 4am on my 511 - serves them right they shouldve bought a supermoto as well . . .
