  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I can't give you any insite on the bike but welcome to the site and congrats on your new bike. Enjoy!

Congratulations on the new bike and thanks for moving from the big Orange!

Have you got the full Akrapovic system or just a silencer? Reason I ask there is an updated map to suit the full system and I haven't yet spoken to anyone who's running it. Which dealer did you use?

There is a Husqvarna Motorcycles UK sub forum if you want to ask us anything direct or just pm me.

No problem! I got the feeling you'd like the 511 from our conversation. And thanks for the positive feedback on GH too.

Cheers....Dave

Only mods so far that ive done are adjust levers to my liking, tuck that tube hanging out the bottom into a neater place, removed mirrors and adjusted gear lever as it was way to high.

Any plans to ditch the giant stock exhaust? What else is available besides the TC model Akrapovic muffler? anything aftermarket yet? I haven't even looked really..

So is it a 476cc engine or 501cc still? I thought it went to 476 (an odd drop in cc's I think if they want to keep amd grow the 510 (511) popularity), but recently I saw some brochures with 501cc listed as size..

Did they stick with the same-lame 4.25" wide rear wheel? They should'be gone with a 5" a long time ago, better tire selection and handling characteristics

Oh yes its really ugly and spoils the look of the bike in my opinion, gyessing its really heavy aswel and quite restrictive, ive got a full akrapovic system being fitted on the first service, i think its an evolution system, not 100% sure tho he didnt explain it really and i dont want fit it any sooner because i want to run it in properly.
And its a 479 cc i believe, dont make sence to me why only make it 30cc bigger ther the 450.
Also i do believe there is a fmf system i have seen about but i dont no if that was a modified one.
As for the rear rim size i am not to sure but it has a 150 on the rear, looks like there is enough room to squeeze a 160 in there but its how the tyre would sit in the rim.

It's 478cc, which allows the TE511 to just scrape past the 475cc minimum for E3 World Enduro class...

Dave

Ahhh. But why not try and get closer to the engine size of before? I havent looked at Hp ratings.. What are the stock 510 and 510 to compare?
